Weekly Blog Posts

Literary criticism and public cultural writing are increasingly being published online and shared over social media networks. To experiment with and reflect upon public writing on new media platforms, and to help clarify your thoughts and prepare for discussion, you will contribute at least once a week to our class blog.

The blog post need not be long (a few sentences or a short paragraph will suffice), but should meaningfully engage with the text in some way—a provocative question, a rich passage (with page number!), a thoughtful comment, an invitation for debate—and should be posted by at least 12pm before that day’s class.

Lastly, taking advantage of the medium is highly encouraged. If and when possible, reply to a classmate’s blog post instead of starting your own. Link to images, videos, or tweets. Play with the text formatting. Have fun with it!
